Lush Lands Field Work: Black Prairie Lands, Texas and Pacific Northwest

Assignments of the last months connected to the rustic natural capital of Texas and more sculpted volcanic mountain land of the Pacific. These are manifestations of natural capital. The Texas track is related to upcoming work.

The images from Northeast Texas are actually of farmland worked for over fifty-plus years, which was in the family since 1913. Even after its sale, three generations, with two here, returned regularly to just hang out across the decades. This reportage was impromptu as the camerawoman just rolled. I need rehearsal, as yet-to-be-written word and raw in-process research need to be polished for my standards. For example, the land was purchased in 1913 and handed down in 1931. (So pardon me.)

(Best part: an unabashedly persistent country dog befriended us. He wanted to jump up constantly.)

Another project assignment landed in the Pacific Northwest.
