Hamm Institute Director Ann Bluntzer kicks off the summit on reception night, with Secretary of Interior Doug Burgum as keynote

The "Powering AI: Global Leadership Summit" brought together leaders from oil and gas and power generation, alongside top big tech executives from Meta, AWS, Google, and NVIDIA. A highlight was Jack Clark, cofounder of Anthropic, known for the LLM Claude. Panels included representatives from Chevron New Energies, GE Vernova, Oklo (nuclear), Fervo Energy (geothermal), and utilities Southern and Constellation. Ann Bluntzer, PhD, executive director of the Hamm Institute for American Energy, organized the event with impeccable professionalism and speed to market.

The first night featured Secretary of the Department of Interior Burgum discussing AI, energy, and U.S. resources. On Summit day, speakers included Secretary of DOE Chris Wright, Secretary of USDA Brooke Rollins, and EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, providing insight into the Administration's agenda.

Fun moments: Jason Bordoff using Meta’s AI glasses. He had to take them off with texts coming across his field of vision while moderating. And we all got hats, delivered to our tables. We ran out of coffee too, and Ann said she’d fire up her Keurig for the desperate.
